Getting to Grand Manan Island

Grand Manan Island (GMI) in New Brunswick (NB), Canada is usually found in the genealogical history of most Guptill descendants. It is a small island of about 2,000 residents in the Bay of Fundy. If you want to go there, here are some resources.

There are no scheduled flights, so a ferry ride is available only from Blacks Harbour, Canada, despite GMI being very close to the Maine coast. A fee is charged only on the return leg to the mainland. The ferry is operated by Coastal Transport Ltd, whose schedule is here:

During 20 June to 10 September, there are three additional sailings to GMI.
